Why we do what we do…
I started Siligent when my husband and his IT provider began looking for a new server for his family’s dental practice. My journey included Sunday dinner at my in-laws house discussing financial and HR details for the practice. My background in management consulting helped me contribute and I began to realize that dentists need help with technology not because they can’t do it, but because there are a million other things that need their attention. Technology now plays such a large role in a dental practice that dentists need a partner who is both knowledgeable and accessible. Building on my expertise in developing industry defining computer hardware systems and my relationships with software companies, I began building a team to meet the needs of a modern day dental practice, through our experience with the latest technology, we provide stability, security and service for your practice.

Tasha Dickinson
Founder & Chief Technologist
Tasha Dickinson is founder and chief technologist of Siligent. She has completed and installed multiple IT infrastructure projects for dentists across the US including consulting on cybersecurity, computer architecture, and data protection. She has also worked as a product manager for a leading industrial hardware company, where she gained a unique perspective for developing and designing hardware systems. She evaluated and tested industrial products, gaining a thorough understanding of hardware longevity, security and standards. Over the years she has also worked as a management consultant for Massachusetts General Hospital, optimizing workflow and helping increase access to patient care, and in a supply chain and engineering management role, as well as starting her own non-profit.
She grew up in Hawaii but traveled east to earn her BA in computer science and applied math at Mount Holyoke College, her BE in mechanical engineering at Dartmouth College, and her MBA at Northeastern University. She lives with her husband (an ADA and AACA member who graduated from Dartmouth and Tufts Dental School) their three kids and two dogs in Vermont.
“The name Siligent is derived from my family name, Silver and intelligent. The Silver family has a history of education and I am the 6th generation Silver woman who graduated from college. I started this business with that legacy on a 200 year old rose wood table that traveled in a covered wagon with my many times over great grandmother as she moved west to start a new life.
